don't close your eyes

Oh my gosh, you guys.  I have the most talented cousin everrrrrr.

Kaleigh just put up her first music video and it is so, so pretty.  The music, the softness of the video, it's perfect.  So check it out!  I'm so proud of her. ♥

If you're in the NYC area, Kaleigh will be playing at The Delancey on May 5th at 7 p.m.  You can get tickets here.  Yay!  Support an up-and-coming artist and hear some beautiful music.

Yesterday I went for a walk in the rainy weather.

As much as I love New York on beautiful sunny days, it's just as lovely in the rain.

whispers of spring

We've been treated to some absolutely beautiful weather lately here in Manhattan, which, for me, means lots of walking around outside.

I love when the sunlight catches these windows at just the right angle to show how many colors they are, and not just the green-and-brown that they appear in the shade.

the sunset was gorgeous, turning everything gold.

the weather was so beautiful that I stayed on the High line for 188 pages.

fields of gold

As part of my West Village excursion on Sunday, I went up to the High Line.  I usually go there when it's lush and green, but it was just as beautiful on a sunny winter day.

west village love

Today I went for a long walk around the West Village and a few of my favorite streets in Chelsea.

it took a moment for my eyes to adjust to these church doors...which open onto another set of doors.

I love love love this robin's egg blue door.  I so hope I have a door this color someday, it would be so happy to come home to.
